The White Album and the seven black

On November 22, 1968 was released the ninth album by the Beatles. The official title was simply The Beatles , but it is also known as the White Album or Double White because of the all-white cover with the band's name embossed.
The original title was supposed to be A Doll's House , but was changed due to a very similar album title posted by another British group, the Family.

The album was born after a period of spent three months in India in a place of meditation under the guidance of a Guru Indian leader of a neo-Hindu movement meditation. The Liverpool quartet came home with thirty songs that came together in a double album.
Despite the time devoted to meditation tensions within the group are obvious. Rather than the hard work of a group expresses the personalities of four artists has become increasingly distant from each other. Besides, the Indian
period was full of contradictions, Ringo Starr had left the retreat almost immediately, Paul McCartney got bored after a month, John Lennon left him, dragging George Harrison, when he discovered that the Guru, in addition to seeking to manipulate the group had made explicit sexual advances to a woman who accompanied the troupe of musicians. Deeply disappointed John Lennon wrote the song Sexy Sadie as a kind of accusation against the teacher in which he so believed.

Across the Atlantic, however, there was another character, much more disturbing, watching the Beatles themselves as the masters.
Charles Manson was a boy from the difficult history that had passed between adolescence and youth prisons and reformatory. With a strong personality, had gathered around him fifty boys stragglers who shared with their leader, as well as robbery and drugs, a past difficult. In his delirium

Manson was convinced that the Beatles songs contained messages directed to him.
Moreover, he began to speak of them as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It devised a personal apocalypse of blood and violence. On August 9, 1969 a commando composed by members of the Manson Family entered the house of director Roman Polanski in Los Angeles, killing five people, including the director's wife, actress Sharon Tate, eight months pregnant. The director was saved only because that night was in London. In the months following the sect made additional Manson and his brutal murder until they were trapped by a lawyer of Italian descent, Vincent Buglioli, that identified the culprits thanks to a clerical error in the title of a Beatles song, Healter Skelter, which Manson was obsessed with and which he interpreted as "end of the world."

not forget that a tragic fate struck one of the Beatles, John Lennon, who a few years later fell under the blows of the gun of another madman in search of glory.
However, beyond these tragic events from the point the song or musical life is known to have anticipated elements of genres hard rock and heavy metal rock only developed over the years. Even this has been the subject of numerous interpretations by groups such as Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Oasis and of course U2.
